Tina Woodward brings together a wealth of practical horticultural experience with a distinctive scientific background, giving her a thoughtful and analytical approach to gardening. After qualifying in horticulture and running her own gardening business in West Sussex, Tina joined the Professional Gardener team at Rosemary Alexander's private garden through the WFGA WRAGs placement scheme. Over the past 13 years, she has worked alongside Rosemary to develop and maintain one of the country's most respected private gardens and now serves as Head Gardener, where she also teaches practical horticulture.

Before retraining in horticulture, Tina worked as a microbiologist across the water, dairy, cosmetics and medical sectors, bringing a unique understanding of plant science and environmental processes to her teaching. At The English Gardening School, Tina tutors on the Good Gardening Diploma and Advanced Practical Horticulture course, combining decades of practical experience with a calm, methodical approach that helps students build confidence in both the science and practice of successful gardening.
