Nick Tripp has spent almost three decades designing elegant, enduring landscapes that are celebrated for their sensitivity to architecture, history and the wider landscape. As Managing Director and co-founder of the award-winning practice Taylor Tripp, established in 1996, Nick and his team have created exceptional private gardens and country estates throughout the UK, earning a reputation for landscapes that feel both timeless and deeply rooted in their surroundings.

Nick believes the most successful gardens are those that respond naturally to the character of a place, creating a harmonious relationship between house, garden and landscape. This philosophy underpins every project undertaken by the practice and has become synonymous with Taylor Tripp's distinctive approach to landscape design.

After originally training in accountancy, Nick pursued his lifelong passion for gardens by studying Landscape Design at The English Gardening School under Rosemary Alexander and Anthony du Gard Pasley. He has remained closely connected to the School ever since, returning as a tutor to share his extensive professional experience with aspiring designers. At EGS, Nick combines decades of practice with a deep appreciation of classical design principles, helping students understand how to create gardens that are both beautiful today and continue to mature gracefully for generations.
