Before beginning her life in garden design, Liz enjoyed a successful career in the fashion and jewellery industries. She spent many years working for renowned British jeweller Elizabeth Gage, a role that regularly took her to New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Coming from a creative family with a strong tradition of gardening, Liz has always had an instinctive appreciation for colour, form and composition. Alongside her professional life, she continues to draw and paint and this artistic background has a natural influence on the gardens she creates.

At the heart of Liz’s work is a genuine love of plants and wildlife. She particularly enjoys creating interesting, layered planting schemes that bring character and beauty to a garden while providing valuable habitats and food sources for wildlife and pollinators.
Her approach combines the eye of an artist with a plantswoman’s understanding of how a garden develops and changes through the seasons.

Liz is now also part of the EGS team, where she supports students throughout their garden design studies, sharing her experience, creativity and enthusiasm for plants and design.
