Caroline Jackson combines decades of practical horticultural experience with an outstanding career in teaching, bringing a thoughtful, knowledge-led approach to every aspect of gardening. With a background spanning more than 30 years in education alongside extensive hands-on horticultural work, Caroline has developed a reputation for making complex gardening principles both accessible and deeply practical.

Today, Caroline works with Marian Boswall Landscape Architects as a roving Head Gardener, overseeing the establishment and long-term management of newly planted gardens across a diverse portfolio of private landscapes. This role gives her first-hand experience of how exceptional planting develops over time, from the critical early years of establishment through to mature, resilient gardens. Alongside this, she teaches at the RHS School of Horticulture at Wisley, helping to train the next generation of professional horticulturists.

At The English Gardening School, Caroline tutors on the Good Gardening Diploma and Advanced Practical Horticulture course, where she combines her extensive teaching experience with a wealth of practical horticultural knowledge. Her expertise in plant care, garden management and the realities of maintaining beautiful, sustainable gardens gives students the confidence and skills to apply what they learn long after the course has finished.
